Shell CEO Wael Sawan said Middle East oil flows have recovered to roughly 80% of
pre-conflict levels, calling it one of the most significant assessments of
export restoration to date. Speaking at the Energy Intelligence forum in London,
he said: despite the disruptions, flows have now recovered to over 80% of
pre-war levels, underlining regional resilience in maintaining supplies to
global markets. Major banks and shipping-data firms also report flows near
pre-conflict levels, but precise measurement remains disputed as many vessels
frequently switch off satellite positioning signals in the Strait of Hormuz and
parts of the Red Sea, complicating cargo counts.
