美國國務卿魯比奧拒絕迴應有關美國駐希臘大使吉爾福伊爾威脅美國可能會削弱希臘政府的報道。

U.S. Secretary of State Rubio said on Tuesday during a visit to Reykjavik that the United States and Iceland want to strengthen security and defense cooperation. He called Iceland’s geography critical to European defense and U.S. homeland defense and said Washington is open to discussions on additional areas of cooperation that serve both countries’ interests. Rubio held meetings with Iceland’s foreign minister and later with the prime minister.

據日本共同社：日本首相高市早苗在衆議院的代表質詢中表示，對於允許將美國核武器部署在本國領土，並在發生緊急情況時由本國戰鬥機搭載並投入使用的“核共享”框架，日本政府“無法予以認可”。
