Xu Jingwei, head of Global Listing Services at HKEX, said TMT and AI-related
companies have accounted for about 70% of Hong Kong IPO fundraising so far this
year and roughly 50% of equity and equity-linked issuance. About 60% of mainland
issuers listing in Hong Kong this year already generate overseas revenue, with
some firms deriving more than half their sales internationally. Around 80% of
recent Hong Kong IPOs have included international cornerstone investors from the
US, Europe, the Middle East and APAC.
