Russia and Ukraine agreed a temporary ceasefire in Aleshki, Kherson region, effective 04:00 Moscow time/03:00 Kyiv time on Oct. 27 (09:00 Beijing time), to open a humanitarian corridor for aid deliveries and civilian evacuations. Kremlin spokesman Peskov said on Oct. 26 the Aleshki pause could set a precedent, but warned that resuming Russia–US–Ukraine trilateral talks expected in November does not constrain Russian forces, which will continue to strike Ukrainian targets.

Anthropic filed an IPO registration with Nasdaq under the ticker ANT. For the six months ended June 30, 2026, revenue was $16.3 bln (prior year $1.2 bln) and net loss was $80.7 bln. The company cautioned revenue growth may not be sustainable and it may not achieve or maintain profitability. As of June 30, Anthropic had raised $141.1 bln in capital. As of Sept. 30, net revenue retention was about 900% and customers spending more than $100k annually rose to over 11,900 from 950. The filing discloses a long‑term benefit trust and plans for director‑held Class T special shares. The board approved a public‑good share framework that can issue up to 2% of total equity in N‑class shares to a public‑good fund each time the share price rises 50%. Anthropic said it will invest heavily in frontier AI safety and does not expect to pay dividends for the foreseeable future. The filing also shows Anthropic has agreed to cumulative spending of up to $120.5 bln through 2029 under arrangements related to SpaceX AI.
