Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh plans to attend an in-person hearing of the
Fed Productivity and Employment Working Group on Nov. 16 in the San Francisco
Bay Area to gather public input on technology, productivity and implications for
monetary policy. Warsh said the session will assess how AI-driven productivity
gains could affect the economy over the short, medium and long term, including
whether they will make achieving price stability easier or harder and what the
effects on employment may be. The hearing will be held publicly.
