Fox News CEO Lachlan Murdoch told investors on Monday's earnings call the
network is seeing "audience fatigue" ahead of the US midterm elections, with
viewership down nearly 30% year-on-year. Nielsen data show Fox News primetime
ratings fell 28% YoY in October. By contrast, CNN's primetime average audience
rose 19% YoY to 598,000, while MSNBC, rebranded as MS NOW, gained 13% to
925,000. Murdoch said last year's ratings had been boosted by Trump's
inauguration and the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
