Goldman Sachs and Apollo Global Management are marketing portions of about $40bn in GPU financing linked to SpaceX to Wall Street investors, people familiar with the matter said. SpaceX said the deal is structured to keep the debt off its balance sheet and would be the largest GPU financing of its kind on record. Before a formal syndication, some investors were invited to precommit up to $500m to accelerate execution; formal syndication is expected to begin soon, sources said. The report comes as Democrats swept the US midterms, coinciding with turbulence in the AI sector. The firms did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
