China United Airlines, a China-based low-cost carrier, said domestic flight fuel
surcharges will be raised starting April 5. For flights of 800 km or less, the
Surcharge will increase to 60 yuan from 10 yuan, while for flights over 800 km
it will rise to 120 yuan from 20 yuan.
The adjustment implies increases of 50 yuan and 100 yuan respectively,
representing a fivefold rise in domestic fuel surcharges.
