On May 28, the Ministry of Natural Resources and seven other departments issued the Guiding Opinions on Accelerating High-Quality Development of Marine Drugs and Functional Products, the first national-level policy document on the marine biopharmaceutical industry. The guidance directs coordinated strengthening of a full-chain innovation system covering the "resource chain + science and technology chain + industry chain + application chain", and calls for deep integration of scientific/technological innovation and industrial innovation. It sets targets to 2030 for multiple innovative marine drugs to reach the market and for industry added value to surpass 130 bln yuan.

Space compute—placing chips and servers on satellites to process data in orbit—offers faster, real-time processing and wider coverage. Industry groups forecast the global space economy could exceed $1 trillion by 2030, with space compute a key infrastructure segment. Chinese firms are building larger compute constellations and tackling core technologies; in April a multi-party Space Compute Innovation Center was launched in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area and published a priority tech list covering reusable rockets, space photovoltaics, laser communications and radiation-hardened chips, with individual projects eligible for up to 10 million yuan in funding.
