South Korean police have opened a probe into Polymarket users suspected of
illegal gambling, the Gangwon Provincial Police Department cyber investigation
unit said, acting on a request from the National Police Agency. The unit said
the investigation targets domestic users rather than the prediction-market
platform itself, underscoring growing regulatory scrutiny as Polymarket expands
in Asia.
