ANA and Japan Airlines plan to raise international fuel surcharges for tickets
issued July–August amid rising jet fuel prices linked to worsening Middle East
tensions. One-way surcharges for North America and Europe for tickets issued in
May–June already stands at 56,000 JPY (≈RMB 2,363) and are expected to be
increased to about 65,000–70,000 JPY (≈RMB 2,743–2,954). The precise uplift is
being coordinated with Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and
Tourism and other authorities and will be finalized soon. ANA and JAL’s June
international surcharges were already raised sharply, more than 70% above
April–May levels.
