China Securities Depository and Clearing Co. said in its June 12 2025 annual
report that 13.87 mln new investors were added in 2025, of which 13.83 mln were
natural persons, taking the year‑end investor count to 250.67 mln, up 5.86% y/y.
CSDC said the period‑end investor figure counts single‑ID accounts holding
active, non‑cancelled, non‑dormant A‑ or B‑share accounts. At end‑2025
CSDC‑registered market values were 137.80 tln yuan on the Shanghai/Shenzhen
exchanges, 869.442 bln yuan on the Beijing Stock Exchange and 1,978.021 bln yuan
on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations; within Shanghai/Shenzhen
A‑shares amounted to 107.84 tln yuan and B‑shares to 111.409 bln yuan.
