The 7th Qingdao Summit of Multinational Company Leaders opened at Qingdao
International Convention Center on June 15, attracting 357 multinationals from
44 countries and regions, including 105 Fortune Global 500 companies and 252
industry leaders. Organizers will run more than 20 events — opening ceremony and
main forum, bilateral meetings and parallel forums — and will publish a
Multinational Companies in China research report. The summit promotes China’s
‘15th Five-Year’ opening policies, market opportunities and innovation space,
and seeks deeper integration of multinationals into China’s industrial, supply
and innovation chains; modern services firms made up a record 20% of
participants.
