The second-draft of the procuratorial public-interest litigation law proposals
explicitly adding protections for specific groups (minors, women, the elderly,
people with disabilities), cases targeting telecom-network fraud, widespread
labor-rights violations and unlawful handling of personal data, spokesperson
Huang Haihua said at a June 22 briefing. The draft will be submitted for
continued review at the 14th NPC Standing Committee’s 23rd session in Beijing,
scheduled June 23–26.
