An Iranian army spokesman said on Tuesday that Iran has developed comprehensive defense plans and operational strategies to counter any attempt by an enemy to invade its territory. The Iranian people will never allow foreign troops to gain a foothold on its land, and contingency plans have been developed for sparsely populated areas, including certain islands and coastal regions where the US military might attempt to infiltrate. He warned that any area used by an enemy to launch an attack on Iran will become a target, even if that area is located within Iranian territory and temporarily occupied by hostile forces.
