Domestic smartphone vendors have raised retail prices due to rising global
storage and other semiconductor component costs. Shenzhen retail checks show
summer foot traffic up and price adjustments mostly 300–1,000 yuan, with some
high-end models up more than 1,000 yuan. Brand stores are using national
trade-in subsidies to lower purchase thresholds. Industry sources say the
increases reflect component-cost pressure and vendor product-strategy
adjustments, and expect storage-chip supply tightness to persist.
