Meta Platforms (META.O) said its AI assistant, powered by the Muse Spark 1.1
model, can now access Google Calendar and Gmail to produce daily briefings,
assist research and support tasks such as home redecoration. The upgrade is part
of CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s push for a “personal superintelligence” and follows an
AI-positive publicity campaign this week. Meta cautioned its AI capabilities
remain weaker than rivals; OpenAI, Anthropic and Google continue to offer agent
systems that handle broader task sets and run autonomously for longer.
