South Korea's Lee urged US venture capital firms to deepen cooperation and
increase investment in South Korean technology, saying ties should extend beyond
the security alliance to cover technology, innovation and startups. He pledged
visa reforms to attract overseas entrepreneurial talent, promised to establish
collaboration frameworks among domestic and foreign companies, research
institutes and investors, and said Seoul will link private and
government-managed funds to help startups scale into globally competitive firms.
