On Aug 1 local time, President ZELENSKIY said Russian airstrikes killed 9 and
dozens wounded. Kyiv sustained heavy damage: 18 buildings, a school, the
Lithuanian embassy in Ukraine and multiple infrastructure sites were hit.
Ukrainian forces shot down only one Russian ballistic missile. ZELENSKIY said
ballistic-missile interception was limited mainly by a shortage of Patriot
interceptor missiles.
