July 30 — The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s Department of
Electronic Information convened a photovoltaic (PV) industry meeting to answer
queries on three newly issued mandatory national standards: Safety Requirements
for PV Modules; Nameplate Marking Requirements for PV Modules; and
Energy-efficiency Limit Values and Grades for Crystalline Silicon PV Modules and
Inverters. PV manufacturers, testing bodies, standards organizations and
metrology institutes were invited to discuss clause interpretation, harmonized
testing methods and metrology traceability. Standards drafting experts answered
firms’ key technical and implementation questions to help market participants
accurately interpret core requirements and ensure correct on‑the‑ground
execution of the standards.
