On Aug 4 the Russian Defense Ministry said Russian forces had seized a
settled in Kharkiv region and struck Ukrainian over the previous 24 hours
transport and energy infrastructure, logistics hubs, and UAV production and
storage sites. The ministry said it continued strikes on Ukrainian ports, ships
and related maritime infrastructure, alleging those facilities were used for
Ukrainian military resupply. Ukraine's General Staff reported 226 engagements on
the front in the past day, said Ukrainian forces repelled attacks in multiple
sectors, and said missile and artillery strikes hit Russian troop concentrations
and drone-control nodes; it reported shooting down 1,792 Russian drones.
