Currently, we are seeing Iran attempting to exert economic pressure on its regional neighbors, particularly Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, hoping they will in turn pressure the US to negotiate. Simultaneously, the US is also exerting economic pressure on Iran. Neither side is willing to take the first step, to extend an olive branch and say, "Let's sit down and talk." Kamrawa expressed skepticism about the effectiveness of US economic pressure. Iran is indeed under immense economic pressure.
