Markets weakened in the morning and sold off after lunch—ChiNext fell over 2.5% at one point—before a broad late recovery that left Shenzhen marginally positive. Sector action: livestock and defense led gains, specialty metals active, cinema chains rallied in the afternoon, innovative pharmaceuticals pulled back after earlier strength; CPO and advanced packaging remained under pressure all day, and components were weak.
