Ukraine’s air force said in a social media post in the early hours of the 20th
that Russian forces launched a new, large-scale round of ballistic missile
strikes toward Kyiv. It warned multiple ballistic missiles were flying toward
the capital from Chernihiv and Poltava regions. Multiple loud explosions were
heard in Kyiv and a brief power outage hit the Dnipro district. Kyiv’s air-raid
warning remained in force.
