Asian currencies were rangebound against the dollar, but U.S. federal debt
topping $40 trillion may provide support, Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA)
global economics and markets research said. CBA warned concerns over U.S. debt
sustainability could pressure the dollar this week after Treasury Secretary
Bessent’s remarks raised expectations for a budget consolidation plan; if
consolidation is limited, market disappointment could weaken the dollar. USD/JPY
