Richard Ho, head of OpenAI's chip business, said the company's new Jalapeno AI
processor outperformed NVIDIA (NVDA.O)'s GB300 in internal tests on AI work per
watt and response latency. OpenAI said GB300 was the leading product in the
public benchmark suite used for comparison. Jalapeno was developed with Broadcom
(AVGO.O); the partners announced the collaboration last year and said in June
the processor was completed in record time.
