Sepah News quoted IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohbi saying the Strait of Hormuz is
under Iran’s control and there are no enemy warships in the Persian Gulf. He
said, from a military and territorial-jurisdiction perspective, no vessel may
transit the waterway without Iran’s permission and management. Mohbi said Iran
and Oman negotiated about a month ago and reached mutually acceptable agreements
on territorial shares of the strait and revenue splits; he added US interference
has delayed implementation. He warned that if the US does not accept Iran’s
conditions, the Strait will not be opened.
