Jiangsu’s draft 15th Five-Year development plan for broadcasting and online
audiovisual services proposes a new broadcasting-network construction project to
upgrade infrastructure and industry capabilities. The draft calls for
optimization and coordinated upgrades of cable, wireless, satellite and 5G
networks, upgrades to wireless transmission and live-broadcast satellite
management systems with access to the national unified network, and an
adjustment of medium-wave transmission layout. It promotes compute–network
integrate and proposes a provincial cultural computing center, explicitly
supporting the provincial broadcaster and Jiangsu Cable to jointly build
cloud–network–edge collaborative, multi-architecture compatible integrated
digital-intelligence compute centers to optimize computing infrastructure for
broadcasting and government service demand. The draft also supports the National
Cultural Big Data East China regional center in building a trusted data-space
technology base to provide trusted data-space services for cultural
institutions.
