Kpler preliminary shipping data showed four bulk cargo vessels transited the
Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, down from 10 the previous day and below the 10-day
average of about 13. The four comprised one VLCC, one Panamax tanker, one
Kamsarmax bulk carrier and one medium tanker; one was inbound and three were
outbound. Kpler warned numbers may change as some vessels switch off
transponders. Separately, 18 vessels transited the Bab al-Mandeb on Tuesday —
seven inbound, 11 outbound — versus a 10-day average of about 24; transits
included two Aframax and one Suezmax tanker.
