Overnight in Mashhad, northeast Iran, a speeding car drove into a pro-government
and armed-forces support rally, killing four and injuring 10, Nour News
reported. Razavi Khorasan traffic police chief Mohsen Mousa‑Abadi said the
vehicle first hit another car, then struck a guardrail and road signs before
entering the crowd; the driver has been arrested and preliminary checks
indicated an impaired mental state. Authorities said there are no signs of a
politically motivated and have classified the incident as a traffic accident.
