China A-shares opened lower and fell through the session. At close Shanghai Composite Index -0.97%, Shenzhen Composite Index -1.88%, ChiNext Index -2.39%. Military/defense names outperformed, led by ground-weaponry plays: Beifang Changlong rose >13%, Inner Mongolia First Machinery hit a second straight limit-up and multiple military contractors hit daily limits. Aerospace stocks advanced with Shengnan Technology and Boyun New Materials at limit-up. Beauty and personal-care names rallied; Weiqi Technology hit daily limit. Glass and fiberglass recovered; Jiuding New Materials and Shandong Fiberglass both limit-up. Other notable outperformers included oil & gas equipment and services, consumer electronics, travel & hotels, gas distribution, power-grid equipment, auto parts and liquid-cooled server suppliers. Grain/seed names weakened sharply—Dunhuang Seed and SDIC Fengle hit daily limit-downs. Underperformers included coal, lithium, brokers, innovative drugs, precious metals, OLED and MLCC sectors. Turnover across Shanghai and Shenzhen totaled 1.79 trillion yuan, down about 242.2 billion yuan versus the prior session. Market breadth: roughly 1,200 stocks advanced, about 3,800 declined.
