According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, the Tehran stock market closed down 80,000 points today. During the session, it had fallen by more than 145,000 points to below 6.4 million points, but subsequently rebounded and recovered to above 6.5 million points as selling pressure eased. The equal-weighted index fell 26,000 points, breaching the 1.8 million point range. The total market capitalization was 18.9 trillion rials, with total turnover of 121.8 trillion rials, and retail trading volume of approximately 33 trillion rials. Retail investors saw a net outflow of 5.6 trillion rials, while fixed-income funds saw an inflow of approximately 2,868 trillion rials, and gold funds saw an inflow of over 1 trillion rials. 65% of stocks closed lower, with buy and sell orders totaling 5.7 trillion and 5.5 trillion rials respectively.
