Wuhan’s science and technology bureau said on Sept. 3 it has optimized 1.47 mln
sqm of underused space around dense university districts, established three
Hubei laboratories and three major scientific infrastructures, and clustered
about 80 universities/research institutes and 27,000 tech firms. The city will
encourage municipal SOEs to reactivate idle parks, aging office buildings and
shopping complexes into standardized incubation facilities to bolster innovation
and entrepreneurship infrastructure.
