Argentina's presidential office said on Sept. 4 that, at President Milei's
instruction, the foreign ministry has launched administrative sanction
proceedings against 45 entities—natural persons and legal entities—suspected of
conducting oil and gas exploration and extraction in the Malvinas (Falkland)
Islands. The statement said the measures target not only companies alleged to
have operated illegally on Argentina's continental shelf but also related
shareholders and service providers.
