World Gold Council said global gold ETFs attracted $18bn in August, the second-largest monthly inflow on record, lifting AUM to $615bn and holdings to a record 4,189 tonnes. North America logged its third-largest monthly inflow and Europe its strongest month ever; together they accounted for nearly 90% of global demand. Average daily trading volume in major gold markets rose 21% MoM.
