UK Prime Minister Burnham will tell business leaders on Monday the government
will be a partner for economic growth and said a cultural shift is needed to
encourage entrepreneurship. He will hold a roundtable with entrepreneurs from
AI, fintech, healthtech, manufacturing and quantum computing, then host top
corporate executives at a Downing Street reception. Downing Street said the
event will focus on how government can simplify starting, scaling and investing
in companies while ensuring growth benefits local communities. On Sunday Burnham
said the UK has the talent, universities and visionary communities required but
must change the way business operates to unlock its full potential.
