On the 13th (local time), Israeli Defense Minister Katz said the IDF will continue to hold the Aritashir high ground in southern Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah or any other force from returning and re-establishing positions. Katz said the position is part of what Israel describes as its 'security zone' in southern Lebanon and that Israeli forces will not withdraw or redeploy until Hezbollah is disarmed across Lebanon. He warned anyone approaching the position would be eliminated.

According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, citing the Director-General for Gulf Affairs of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, the meeting of foreign ministers of the Gulf states, originally scheduled for Monday, has been postponed. The Director-General stated that the postponement was due to requests from some countries in the region and a joint decision by Oman and Iran. He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran will maintain close consultations with Oman to coordinate a suitable time for the meeting.
