US-headquartered Boston Dynamics, Hyundai Motor Group’s humanoid robotics unit, is unlikely to pursue an IPO next year because its flagship Atlas robot has not been mass-deployed and the unit remains unprofitable, a parent-company executive said. The comments indicate a public listing could still be years away despite earlier investor enthusiasm that helped lift Hyundai shares. Analysts say an IPO is unlikely while humanoid robots remain too scarce for broad factory deployment. Hyundai has said it aims to build a factory capable of producing 30k robots a year by 2028 and to begin deploying humanoid robots at its US Georgia plant in 2028, with wider rollout across its manufacturing network thereafter; some analysts call those targets ambitious.

A Kobeissi report indicates that U.S. consumers expect inflation to rise to approximately 4.6% over the next year, the third highest level in the past 12 months. This expectation is 1.1 percentage points higher than at the beginning of 2026. Meanwhile, the proportion of consumers spontaneously mentioning gasoline prices as a major concern has risen to approximately 30%, the fourth highest level in at least two years. Furthermore, about 37% of consumers mentioned tariffs, the highest proportion since April. This suggests that U.S. consumers generally believe that a new round of inflation has begun.
