According to the Wall Street Journal, sources familiar with the matter said the U.S. government is pressuring Mexican officials to accept new regulations on the export of artificial intelligence hardware. U.S. and Mexican trade officials are expected to hold a new round of talks in Washington as early as next week. The two countries are also expected to discuss the possibility of reducing U.S. tariffs on steel, aluminum, and automobiles.
