President Trump posted on social media that, at the U.S. military’s strong
request and for national security purposes, he has agreed to convert the planned
triumphal arch at the reception plaza beside Arlington Memorial Bridge into a
top-tier military complex. He said the facility would house, store and enable
rapid deployment of large numbers of drones, deploy snipers on the roof and
plaza, and stockpile substantial quantities of sniper ammunition.
