The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said FAW and GAC’s strategic tie-up highlights practical obstacles to cross-regional consolidation — notably transfer of capacity quotas, tax‑sharing arrangements and lengthy approval chains — which to some extent constrain industrial concentration and high‑end development. CAAM said it will act as a bridge between government and firms to collect integration difficulties and urge relevant parties to improve supporting policies on capacity replacement, tax sharing, asset disposal and personnel placement to remove barriers to market‑based consolidation. [Najaf Governor Denies Ordering Suspension of Iranian Flights] According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, Najaf Governor Youssef Maki Qanawi stated that the order to suspend Iranian flights to Najaf Airport was not issued by him. He pointed out that, according to law, a governor has no authority to issue such orders. He emphasized that he never ordered the suspension of operations or the closure of Najaf Airport. Previously, on Friday, September 25, the Najaf International Airport administration announced that, following the US Treasury Department's sanctions against Iran, and based on instructions from relevant authorities, all flights to and from Iran were suspended from Friday morning until further notice. The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority had also previously announced that Baghdad Airport had stopped accepting flights from Iranian airlines.
