According to Taiwanese media outlet DIGITIMES, AMD CEO Lisa Su made a surprise visit to Taiwan on October 5th, less than five months after her last visit in May. The trip did not include any large public events, focusing instead on meetings with key supply chain partners. AMD is seeking more production capacity from TSMC, packaging and testing companies, and substrate manufacturers, indicating that its AI/HPC demand continues to grow, and supply bottlenecks have extended from advanced processes to packaging, testing, and substrate manufacturing.
