BANK OF ENGLAND'S MPC member MANN said on Tuesday inflation is running above the 2% target and appears to have become embedded in the UK economy. She warned inflation could rise to around 4% by year-end, citing the annual pay-negotiation season as a potential force reinforcing wage and price pressures. MANN has been in the MPC minority since July, pushing for a 25bp Bank Rate increase to 4%.
