On Oct 11 at midday local time the Houthi armed movement said it would respond in kind if Saudi Arabia continued military operations against it. The group said Dozens have been killed, hundreds injured and infrastructure damaged since the July 13 attack on Sanaa International Airport. It accused Riyadh of ignoring calls to lift the blockade and stop strikes on the airport and warned continued hostile action would inflict strategic losses on Saudi Arabia and could further escalate the situation.
