The corporate goods price index came in below the market's 7.6% forecast (August: 7.6%). Import prices in yen jumped 24.5% YoY in September, signaling yen weakness continues to lift raw‑material import costs. The figures will feed into the Bank of Japan's review of quarterly growth and inflation forecasts at this month's policy meeting.
