The International Aluminum Institute (IAI) said global primary aluminum
production in September 2026 was 6.014 mln tonnes, down from 6.10 mln tonnes a
year earlier and below the prior-month revised 6.188 mln tons. Daily output
averaged 200.5 kt/day in September versus the prior-month revised 199.6 kt/day.
IAI estimated China's September primary aluminum output at 3.75 mln tonnes,
down from the prior-month revised 3.87 mln tonnes.
