China's 14th National People's Congress Standing Committee will hold its 25th
session in Beijing on Nov 2-6. The chairpersons' meeting has recommended the
session review draft laws and amendments including a Financial Law draft; a
State-owned Assets Law draft; a State Council-submitted amendment to the Tax
Collection and Management Law; a proposed amendment to the Criminal Procedure
Law; an Anti-cross-border Corruption Law draft; a Renewable Energy Law revision;
a Water Law revision; a Procuratorate public-interest litigation law draft; an
Antarctic Activities and Environmental Protection Law draft; and amendment
drafts to 15 laws including the Emergency Response Law.
