multiple Russian refineries and a gas facility that day. Russian presidential
aide Ushakov said Ukraine ignored US President Trump's call to stop strikes on
Russian refineries; Trump had urged a halt but Ukraine did not comply. Ukrainian
President Zelenskiy said on the 30th that Russia continues to target Ukrainian
power plants, the grid and energy interconnection facilities, has taken no
de‑escalatory steps in the energy sector, and that Ukraine will continue to
respond. Zelenskiy added that on the 15th Ukraine had paused attacks on Russian
refineries at US request but canceled that pause after Russia continued strikes
on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
