Nov 1 — Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan said in a blog the government will publish a preliminary estimate of Q3 local GDP next Tuesday. Early signs indicate Q3 year-on-year growth will exceed market expectations and accelerate from Q2, driven by faster export growth and resilient domestic demand. Hong Kong is on track for a 15th consecutive quarter of positive growth. Real GDP for the first three quarters posted the largest YoY increase for the period in five years. With momentum intact, the government may revise up its full-year growth forecast.
