Maternity allowances totaled 78.16 bln yuan and have been paid directly to individuals. National maternity insurance participation reached 260 mln. Twenty-three provinces (216 pooling areas) have extended coverage to flexible/self-employed workers. Thirty-one provinces (322 pooling areas) have implemented zero out-of-pocket policy for in-hospital deliveries within policy scope. All provinces include assisted reproductive technology in payment scope and have reimbursed labor analgesia under medical insurance.
